<aside> 💡 Team interviews play a key role in BLB's People-First + Pleasure-Filled approach to operations. By chatting with team members and gathering their valuable feedback, you can make sure the solutions you put in place really click, leading to long-lasting adoption of the systems.
These interviews should last between 20-30 minutes. Request interviews from team members that you believe would provide great feedback and insight into your business as a whole or into a specific section you want to drill down into.
[ ] Prep yourself (and interview template). Establish what you’re hoping to get out of the interviews and plan your questions accordingly. Put them in the template below:
[ ] Once you’re happy with your interview questions, duplicate the Interview Template for each team member you’d like to interview. Be sure to duplicate it enough times so that you don’t lose it at the end.
[ ] Rename each duplicated template with the name of each team team member.
[ ] If needed, add custom questions to each Interview template once the initial set of standardized questions are completed.
[ ] Drag each of the duplicated templates to the To Interview section below.
[ ] Create an interview request message with your scheduler attached. Here’s a template you can customize and use:
Hey [name]! I’m prioritizing [Organization Name]’s business operations so that can we set ourselves up for sustainable success, efficiency, and effectiveness moving forward. I’d love to chat with you in private to get your feedback and insight on how we can improve (and to make sure whatever solutions we do implement takes your needs into account). This takes about 20-30 minutes and I would appreciate it we can make this happen [next week/next month/in a few days/etc.]. The meeting will be recorded and only [CEO/I/me + Founder(s)] will have access to this for the sake of making our business amazing. So please, be super candid! Please schedule yourself into my calendar here: [scheduling link] - excited and THANK YOU! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
[ ] Send an interview request message/email to each team member you’d like to interview.
